![]() What is Reflexology?Give your feet a treat and your whole body will thank you!MOTHERS DAY APPROACHING!!!! SPECIAL OFFER FOR MARCH ONLY......GIFT VOUCHERS FOR REFLEXOLOGY AT £40 ONLY Reflexology has its roots in the ancient civilisations of Egypt, China and Africa. As we know it today, Reflexology was first researched and developed by Eunice Ingham. Her theory was that electrical impulses travel down the body, from the head to the feet, penetrating various organs and structures on the way. Reflexology is now a precisely defined form of treatment based on the principle that the anatomy of the body is reflected in miniature on reflex zones on the feet and the hands. By using specific techniques of holds and pressures on these areas, healing is both initiated and accelerated in the corresponding area of the body. One of the wonders of Reflexology is that it can bring about the same sensations of relaxation and restfulness that a full body massage can produce and therefore it can be most useful in the treatment of stress. Who can be helped by a Reflexology treatment? Most people can benefit from a reflexology treatment and there is no minimum or maximum age limit. A course of treatment varies according to how acute or chronic the condition is, the number of sessions and their frequency depend on the patient's health and response. Conditions such as and other Hormonal Disorders can all be helped by reflexology. Reflexology is a safe approach to healing the body that relies entirely on the skill of the practitioner and the healing qualities of the patient. It is a natural method for enhancing physical health and emotional well-being that is part of good preventative health care. Fees: £45.00 (1 hour) or £240.00 for 6 sessions booked and paid for in advance. Local Home Visits possible (£50.00) Gift Vouchers available. Receiving Reflexology treatments before and during pregnancy can be extremely beneficial. Reflexology has been proven to minimise the length and intensity of labour, benefit babies on a physical and even emotional level, reduce anxiety and facilitate recovery after birth. Maternity Reflexology is a specific approach to Reflexology which focuses on either: * improving fertility, * avoid miscarriages, anxiety, and stress * improve the health of mother and baby during pregnancy, * induction of labour, * as well recovery after birth. It requires a level of commitment from the patient as to the regularity of treatments and certain lifestyle changes in order to guarantee maximum benefits. For example, to maximise chances of a trouble-free birth and minimise side-effects, it is recommended to have a minimum of six sessions before the due date (one every week), and perhaps one or two treatments past this date, if necessary. Special discounts can be arranged with me to that effect. Induction Reflexology One-Off session: £50.00 (£45.00 if existing patient) (See page on testimonials) |
