Loss of smell after Covid.19

Writer: Francoise JordanFrancoise Jordan

I recently read a very interesting article published in a scientific newsletter I subscribe from from France, about how Essential Oils can trigger the brain to recover the sense of smell via the gradual stimulation of the olfactive nerve. All you have to do is intently and intensely (note the choice of words here as it shows how the power of your intention can magnify the result) smell different oils. For that, block one nostril with one finger and bring the essential oil bottle very close to your other nostril, and inhale slowly and thoroughly. Change side, and repeat up to 3 times a day. After just a few weeks, it is possible that you will recoup this ability to smell again. You can stick to one particular favourite oil, but why not try with a variety, in order to maximise those chances! Aromatherapy is after all another wonder of natural medicine, well worth exploring in our challenging times.
